Todd Parr Author Study: Our unique Todd Parr-inspired characters are complete! This portion of the author study focused on the illustrations of Todd Parr’s stories. We have noticed his style includes bright, mix-matched colors, simple faces with no noses, black outlines and details, and some simple patterns. This project has taken us weeks as we started in January with our color study to create all of the paper. Next, teachers helped make the children’s visions come to life with what style hair, clothes, and expressions they wanted for their characters. Now they are complete and ready to be played with!
