October 27th

We had such a lovely day in the Blue Room! We added more pieces to our Friendship Recipe during Morning Meeting, dissected the pumpkins at the rectangle table, created watercolor and glitter masterpieces at the studio table, and enjoyed the beautiful day on the front playground.

Thank you for sharing your little ones with us each day, they are treasures! We are looking forward to showcasing all that your Blue Roomers have accomplished tomorrow during conferences!

Classroom Explorations

Investigating Pumpkins

We used our 5 senses to investigate the pumpkins, scooped and poured seeds working on our hand-eye coordination, learned about the parts of the pumpkin, and made connections to the real world as friends shared stories of going to pumpkin patches and carving pumpkins at home. Overall, friends agreed that the pumpkins felt and smelled “disgusting!”

Read Aloud of the Day

Today we read It’s Okay to be Different by Todd Parr. In learning about friendship, we think it is important to remember we can be friends with anyone–even if they are different from us!

Fun on the Front Playscape!
