It’s a new week and friends were eager to hear about their new jobs! During Morning Meeting, we sang the “hickety pickety, bumblebee” greeting song and learned about our new jobs. We made observational drawings of pumpkins during choice time, introduced the letter Gg, and played in the gym on this rainy day.

Classroom Explorations
Observational Drawings of Pumpkins
Making observational drawings strengthens working memory as children transfer what they see in front of them to their papers, develops spatial awareness as they attempt to draw to scale, and offers opportunities for scientific discoveries about the real world objects we observe.
“I see orange and brown.” “These are heavy!” “I’m drawing the stem!” “I see brown bumps on this one!”
